Vincenzo Mangini and Roberto Fiammengo at the Center for Biomolecular Nanotechnologies of the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Lecce together with colleagues at the University of La Rioja in Logroño, Spain and at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular of Lisbon, Portugal have achieved an important step forward in the development of therapeutic cancer vaccines.

This year the “Notte dei Ricercatori 2017” event, also known in Europe as “European Researchers’ Night 2017”, will be next September, 29th Friday at Ex Monastero degli Olivetani in Lecce (Viale S. Nicola, 73100 Lecce LE). La “Notte dei Ricercatori” (#ERN17) is a public event devoted to “popular science and fun learning”. As in our tradition, Centre for Biomolecular Nanotechnologies (cbn.iit.it) will have its tables, sharing our researches activities.

CBN published "a new adjustable optical microprobe for Optogenics" on Nature Nanoscience Journal
Researchers from the IIT- Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (Italian Institute of Technology) in Lecce, Italy, and the Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA, have developed a new optical microprobe able to control brain electrical activity by projecting light on wide volumes or selected portions of the central nervous system in an very controlled fashion.
The study is the result of a collaboration between CBN and the Harvard Medical School in Usa. Published on Nature Neuroscience, it opens new scenarios for the understanding and treatment of neurological disorders.
