About

Yohan Penaranda graduated from the Institut d’Optique Graduate School in France, where he earned his MSc with a specialization in photonics. His master’s thesis was carried out in the group of Prof. Costanza Toninelli in Florence and focused on single-photon emission from organic molecules. His work combined optical design, experimental measurements, and sample fabrication, addressing various aspects of light–matter interaction at the nanoscale.

In 2025, Yohan joined the Vectorial Nano-imaging group led by Dr. Antonio Ambrosio as a PhD student. His current research focuses on tailoring light–matter interactions using structured light, with the aim of controlling and investigating optical responses in nanoscale and low-dimensional systems.
